St. Leo Catholic School students held a dress rehearsal for their annual Christmas play in front of a large audience Wednesday morning in the social hall of the St. Leo Magnus Roman Catholic Church in downtown Ridgway.
This year's play, “The Christmas Shoe Tree,” was chosen in conjunction with the students' service project that focuses on providing shoes to the less fortunate.
“Sole4Souls provides shoes for the needy all over the world,” said Jo Marie Kepple, music director and sixth grader teacher. “Some of the shoes stay in our country for victims of hurricanes or disasters. This show was chosen because it does partner with this organization and the show itself is about giving to the needy.”
