Skraba named to Big 30 game

D.J. Skraba of Ridgway will be in the Big 30 game this summer.

Ridgway's D.J. Skraba was named to the Big 30 team after his senior season.

D.J.’s wanting to play in the Raabe Classic is also fueled by family ties.  His older brother Sam was a participant in the high scoring 2010 contest.  He look forward to having some fun with guys he used to play against.  His greatest football thrill was winning the final Elker football game with his senior teammates.  He was captain of both the football and wrestling teams.  D.J. has consistently been an honor student throughout his high school career and received high honors his senior year.  He plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania and study biology and environmental science.   D.J. enjoys riding the Jeep Trails, hunting and fishing as time permits.  He is a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger. 

Skraba will join teammate Ben Jaques as the two football players chosen from Ridgway. Joe Holmberg and Trevor Miller are the duo from Johnsonburg that will be in the game. David Bojalad, Zac Brody, Jake Cortina and Ricky Pearsall were selected from Elk County Catholic.
Jimmy Antonelli, Robert Rollick and Kyle Schneider were chosen from St. Marys Area.
Kane had seven players chosen for the team this season, the most from one school on the Pennsylvania Ledger. Those players are Alex Anderson, Evan Depto, Logan Depto, Dylan Eckstrom, Sloan Moore, Marty Niklas, Dominic Sirianni.
