JOHNSONBURG – A recent study conducted by U.S. News & World Report ranked the Johnsonburg Area School District as one of the top high schools in Pennsylvania.
According to high school principal Brock Benson, the organization ranks all of the high schools in the United States based on standardized testing and advanced placement [AP] scores.
"They look at your proficiency rates of all of your students and also how you do with students who are economically disadvantaged," Benson said.
"One thing I think is a really nice thing for a small district like we are is that we have some pretty good AP offerings we can offer our kids."
The JASD high school ranked 56th out of 752 high schools in the state; placing the district in the top eight percent and the top 10 percent in the nation.
