JOHNSONBURG – The Johnsonburg Area School District received a clean audit from their financial auditor prior to Thursday night's regular board of directors meeting.
The board was presented with a 20-minute presentation from financial auditor James Alexander of Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C.
Alexander began the presentation detailing the district's independent auditors report.
"The Independent Auditor's Report is really the whole crux of the audit and that is to form an opinion on your financial statements," Alexander said. "We have issued this district a clean unqualified audit opinion and that is really the highest level of insurance that we can provide on your financial statements - so congratulations."
Alexander noted meeting with a couple members of the board in November.
"We really went over the financial statements in some pretty good detail," Alexander said. "So I thought what we would do today is hit the high notes of the audit. I know we are halfway through the 2011-2012 school year, but we will take a look back at some of the numbers from the end of 2010-11 school year."
