Sara "Jayne" Jane Kushner, 69, Wesley Chapel, Johnstown died Aug. 19, 2011, at Conemaugh Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 7, 1942, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Homer and Helen (Chapple) Moore.
She was a 1959 graduate of Central Cambria High School and the Hammond School of Beauty Culture. Jayne was employed at the Penn Traffic Beauty Salon and later owned and operated her own salon. She later co-owned/managed a small convenience store (The Pic-Quik) in Johnstown with her husband “Bob.”
She also was preceded in death by a ssister, Jo Riddle; a brother, Robert D. Moore; and a granddaughter, Chelsea E. Freeburg.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert J. Kushner; and her children, including Christine E. Freeburg and fiancé, Peter Coffman, East Avenue, Ridgway; Todd J. Kushner and companion, Dyanna Edwards, East Taylor Township, Johnstown; her grandchildren, Jared, Alayna, Haley and Hannah Freeburg, Ridgway.
Jayne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who greatly loved her family. She was small, but was strong in battling heart disease for the past 40 years.
Visitation was held on Aug. 23 at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Funeral Mass was held on Aug. 24 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Committal at Grandview Cemetery.
