Rose M. Stebick

Rose M. Stebick, 78, of 131 Woodland Road, St. Marys, died on Friday, June 10, 2011 following an illness of the past few months.
She was born Jan. 6, 1933 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret Eckert Hoffman.
On Nov. 14, 1953 in St. Marys Church, she married the late LeRoy H. "Duka" Stebick, who preceded her in death on April 17, 2009.
Mrs. Stebick was a member of St. Mary's Church. She was a nurse's aide for several years at the former Extended Care.  She enjoyed bingo and trips to Salamanca. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Stebick and his wife Brenda of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Tanya Stebick and her fiance John Imbrogno Jr., Ron Stebick and his wife Julie, and Hannah Stebick; a great-granddaughter, Stella Rose Stebick; a sister, Joan, Mrs. Richard Farnsworth of St. Marys; a brother, Melvin Hoffman and his wife Gloria of Ridgway; and by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband of more than 55 years, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Stebick; and a sister, Viola Swedenhjelm.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose M. Stebick will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on Monday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
