Roger A. Plumskey

Roger A. Plumskey, 76, of 675 Monmorenci Ave., Ridgway and formerly of Johnsonburg, died peacefully Thursday evening at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys.
He was born July 3, 1937 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Carl F. and Cornelia B. (Glatzert) Plumskey.
He had resided in Johnsonburg for most of his life and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Roger attended the Rolfe school and graduated from the old Johnsonburg High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany then returned to graduate from Thiel College in 1963. He continued his education with a master's degree from Ohio State University.
He had been employed by the Ohio State University and retired from teaching at Manassas Virginia High School in 2004.
He is survived by one brother, Robert W. Plumskey of Johnsonburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a celebration of the life of Roger A. Plumskey at St. John Lutheran Church in Johnsonburg on Wednesday, June 18 at 11 a.m.
Officiating will be Rev. J. Stephen Fair, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church. There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, can be made to the donor's choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
