At Tuesday's school board meeting, the Ridgway Area School District announced the decision to hire Robert Rocco as its new superintendent, as well as the approval of a contract between the district and the teachers association.
Rocco will replace former superintendent Dr. Michael O'Brien. Dr. Lester Shull was serving as interim superintendent of the district. He served as interim superintendent for seven days after he was selected to fill the position in an Aug. 5 workshop session for the school board.
