Robert G. Wittman

Robert G. Wittman, 68, formerly from Dagus Mines, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was the son of the late Edwin L. and Alice Stauffer Wittman.
He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the 101st Airborne Division and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He is survived by three daughters, one son, grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by a sister, Janice (Russ) Roan of Avis; and two brothers, James, St. Louis, Mo., and Mark of Dagus Mines. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lou.
A Memorial Mass with military rites for Robert G. Wittman will be held on Wednesday, July 23 at St. Boniface Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Faluscszak officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to “Rides for Vets” at P.O. Box 70, Ridgway Pa. 15853.
