Nicole Kuleck, the new fourth-grade learning support and emotional support teacher at the Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School, is back in the district she grew up in.
“Being a native of Ridgway, I graduated from the Ridgway Area School District,” Kuleck said. “I love being a part of the Ridgway school district family. Working here has been something that I have dreamed about for a long time and I am so happy that it is now a dream come true.”
Kuleck received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Clarion University. She then graduated from Edinboro University with a Masters of Education Degree in Special Education.
Thinking back to her childhood, Kuleck says she has always wanted to be a teacher.
“I always wanted to become a teacher ever since I can remember,” Kuleck said. “It wasn’t until the year 2000 that I decided to make it a reality. My love of children made teaching my passion and encouragement from close friends and family helped me to fulfill my dream.”
A goal for Kuleck’s first year of teaching is to work with other teachers and staff to provide the children with a quality education.
“My second goal would be to incorporate technology everyday by including interactive activities and providing a variety of hands-on activities into my classroom to help make lessons more exciting,” Kuleck said. “My third goal would be to use different teaching methods and never forget that children learn at different paces.”
