Ridgway advances to tourney title game

ST. MARYS – Ridgway boys basketball advanced to defend their Holiday Tournament title with a 64-48 victory over St. Marys in the nightcap of the first day of the Elk County Holiday Basketball Tournament Friday night at St. Marys Area High School.
A strong start in the first quarter ultimately proved to be the difference in the game as Ridgway burst out to a 25-8 lead at the end of the opening eight minutes.
