Richard Karpinski

Richard Karpinski, 54, of 5 Giloully Ave., Ridgway, died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013.
He was born July 23, 1958, the son of the late Mary Zipperi and the late Joseph Karpinski.
He married Roberta Brendlinger on Nov. 16, 1990. She survives.
Richard was a graduate of Ridgway Area High School, Class of 1976, and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He resided in Ridgway most of his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all the outdoors. He was a family man and nothing meant more to him than his children.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Brendlinger) Karpinski of Jacksonville, Fla.; his son, Daniel Karpinski of Jacksonville, Fla.; his stepdaughter, Cassidy Means of Jacksonville, Fla.; his grandson, Adam D. Karpinski of Jacksonville, Fla.; his brother, Joseph Karpinski and his wife Linda of Charlotte, N.C.; his sister, Barbara Serafini and her husband Benny of Huber Heights, Ohio; his sister, Cindy Pasquinelli and her husband Brent of State College; his brother, James Karpinski and his wife Jean of Ridgway; his sister, Marcia Raubenstrauch and her husband Steve of Ridgway; his brother, Paul Karpinski and his wife Deana of Ridgway; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Zipperi) Karpinski; his father, Joseph Karpinski; a sister, Mary Karpinski; a son, Adam Karpinski; and a niece, Lisa Serafini.
Richard's wishes were to be cremated so there will be no funeral. A memorial service will be held at a time convenient for the family.
