Retirees help with carnival grounds

June 11, 2014

A group of volunteers gathered Wednesday afternoon as part of a continual effort to get the Ridgway Firemen's grounds in working order for the upcoming carnival, now roughly a month away.
The volunteers, who call themselves the "Old Geezers," are part of Habitat for Humanity of Clearfield and Jefferson counties.
"One of our groups from Clearfield was watching the news and saw that the grounds needed repaired, and volunteers were being sought," said George Joiner, a Ridgway resident and member of the group.
