Ridgway Township voters opposed the formation of a commission to study the existing form of municipal government in Ridgway Township and the feasibility of having a home rule charter after the polls closed Tuesday night.
With north and south Ridgway Township reporting, 344 voters were opposed to the formation of the committee and 238 voters were in favor.
Incumbent supervisor Milly Bowers was reelected to another term, finishing with 444 votes. Cliff Stump waged a write-in campaign against Bowers; it was unknown at press time how many write-in votes he earned, but the 132 write-in votes cast were not enough to unseat Bowers.
