RASD considering tax increase

During the regular meeting of the Ridgway Area School Board of Directors, finance manager Brent Rhoads, along with Donna Sidelinger, presented information to the board concerning the 2014-15 budget, which is still in the preliminary stages.
Rhoads presented a possible budget which included a one-mill tax increase for next year, giving the district the potential to raise $89,500 in revenue. The current preliminary budget will see $12,460,506 in revenue with expenditures clocking in at $12,676,308, running the district a $215,802 deficit.
