A ranch built for children slated for grand opening

August 24, 2012

Photo by Heather Cherry – Flying Dove Ranch in Ridgway will offer children a space to enjoy the great outdoors; especially with a 4.5 acre lake which allows for swimming, canoeing, kayaking and much more. Come join in the festivities as Flying Dove Ranch cuts the ribbon and opens their gates this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Flying Dove Ranch located along Old Red Mill Dam Road just outside of Ridgway will hold their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 26 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be food, refreshments, games, horse and buggy rides, face painting, clowns, balloon animals and more. The ranch is conveniently located 8.5 miles north of Ridgway off of Montmorenci Road and encases visitors within its 82 acres of outdoor tranquility.
Flying Dove Ranch is a non-profit, non-denominational organization available to host children and youth camps, and also be used for retreats, conferences, business meetings, family outings or reunions, weddings and more.
It was established by Charlie Steger of Ridgway to support the youth.
“This is something I’ve always wanted to do,” Steger said. “I wanted to create a place that brought families and kids together; a place where kids are kids and Jesus is Lord.”
The grand opening this Sunday will showcase the completion of phase one at Flying Dove Ranch.
