In the first doubles matchup, Blose/Pierce won 8-3 over Allegretto/Martonik; at No. 2 doubles, Bickford/Fields lost 8-5; at No. 3 doubles, Punxsy's Justin Ray and States won 8-5 over Imbrogno and Mason Walters; at No. 4 doubles, Punxsy's Joe Roberts and C.J. Steitz won 8-4 over Christian Cherry and Jeff Mann.
"It was not our best performance, especially on Senior Day, but hats off to a very good Punxsy team, they are solid the entire lineup," said Johnsonburg head boys varsity tennis coach Gregg Dauber. "We didn't play well and eight matches into the season, we're still making the same mistakes over and over-- we aren't very consistent and we lose focus. It's time for some kids to start stepping up and play like I know they can play."
