Rams advance to PIAA quarterfinals

June 3, 2013

Cole Peterson struck out 14 for Johnsonburg in a 5-0 win over Western Beaver.

BUTLER – Johnsonburg is making quite a habit of winning in the PIAA playoffs.
After a run to the state title game in basketball earlier this year, Johnsonburg baseball is no exception as the Rams won their PIAA playoff opener 5-0 over Western Beaver Monday afternoon at Pullman Park in Butler.
Johnsonburg will now play District 6 champion Bishop McCort Thursday in the PIAA quarterfinals with a game site and time yet to be announced.
Johnsonburg starting pitcher Cole Peterson was dominant as he struck out 14 Western Beaver hitters in the complete game shutout.
