Ramettes' stifling pitching, defense stymies ECC in 2-1 win

Johnsonburg starting pitcher Alexa Marciniak took the win Tuesday against ECC, allowing just one single in the first inning en route to a 2-1 win.

It just might be the "Burg Way" after all.
Armed with a cooperative sports agreement between Ridgway and host school Johnsonburg, the Ramettes on Tuesday scored a 2-1 win over visiting Elk County Catholic in a softball game held at Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School in Ridgway.
Starting pitcher Alexa Marciniak scattered one hit and an unearned run in five innings of work for the Ramettes before giving way to relief pitcher Taylor Roseto who secured the win with two scoreless innings.
