JOHNSONBURG – Now in his eighth season at the helm of the Johnsonburg girls’ varsity basketball program, Mike Zilkofski is looking for a little bit more this time around as his team prepares to storm the court.
“We’re hoping for bigger and better things this year,” Zilkofski said after posting a 13-10 mark last season and an early playoff exit Feb. 21 at East Forest. “It was a heartbreaker losing on the road to East Forest in the playoffs. They had a lot of seniors, a pretty good group there, and we just didn’t play well.”
The Ramettes ended their season in a 48-35 loss at East Forest but the campaign was not without its various highlights.
