JOHNSONBURG – Police chief Bryan Parana commended the Johnsonburg Police Department during Monday's borough council meeting for a "fine job" in the investigations of two burglaries that occurred in June.
"Especially officer John Clopp for doing an investigation in two major armed burglaries/home intrusions," Parana said. "We ended up arresting 10 individuals in the case, recovering two firearms, and solving some additional cases."
Parana stressed the importance of the community's involvement in the case.
"I think the point here is neighbors taking care of neighbors," Parana said. "It was due to some eyewitness accounts by neighbors and also some actions by the neighbors that helped solve the first home invasion. I think it is very important in our community that neighbors take care of their neighbors."
