Poage gives false name, faces more charges

ST. MARYS – Sgt. K. Michael Shaffer of the St. Marys Police Department has confirmed that Betty Poage will be charged in the drug bust that occurred on July 13 when K9 Copper alerted police to narcotic residue in the vehicle.
Shaffer stated that Betty confessed to falsely giving her sister's name as her own, which led police to file charges against a Barbie Jo Poage. Barbie Jo Poage of St. Marys was not involved in this incident.
