October 3, 2012

JOHNSONBURG – A Johnsonburg man charged after authorities discovered live marijuana plants inside his residence following execution of a search warrant was granted a continuance of his preliminary hearing by District Judge George A. "Tony" King on Wednesday in order that the proceedings may be recorded as per the defendant's request.
Edward Joseph Pisani, 54, of 433 Second Ave. in Johnsonburg, is charged with violations of the The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetics Act, including a felony count of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and intent to possess a controlled substance.
In District Court Wednesday, Judge King postponed the hearing until Oct. 17 to allow time for the necessary arrangements to be made in accommodating the defendant's request that the proceedings be recorded, whether in the form of a stenographic, mechanical, or electronic audio record of the proceedings.
