PHARE funding to back $6 million Ridgway construction project

Photo by Colin Deppen – The Elk County Board of Commissioners, pictured, approved a $500,000 memorandum of understanding with TREK, a Pittsburgh-based real estate development company planning to construct a $6 million senior care facility in Ridgway.

A new, $6 million senior housing complex is in the works for Ridgway, funded in large part by a federal tax credit designed to offset the diminishing effects of Marcellus Shale activity on affordable housing statewide.
