PGC to hold informational meeting for Weedville residents

December 27, 2012

WEEDVILLE – In response to a growing concern among residents in the Weedville area related to the increased presence of elk in their community, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has scheduled a public meeting for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Bennetts Valley Senior Center, located at 149 Plum St., Jay Township.
While the meeting is open to the public, it will be geared toward residents of the Weedville area and will focus solely on the growing elk population in that area. The game commission has come up with both short-term and long-term plans for reducing conflicts with elk in and around Weedville and the informational meeting is intended to make residents aware of those endeavors.
