Peters, Outfitters earn PA Wilds honors

KERSEY – The Pennsylvania Wilds Planning Team recognized an area business and local resident for their significant contributions in helping grow and develop the region's outdoor recreation economy and nature tourism.
As 2014 Champions of the PA Wilds, Country Squirrel Outfitters, LLC of Ridgway received the Business of the Year Award while Abbi Peters, Executive Director of the Elk County Council on the Arts (ECCOTA) was presented the Outstanding Leader Award on Thursday's during the 2014 Partnership Summit and Awards Dinner.
A large crowd was on hand at the Red Fern in St. Marys to honor a total of 10 award winners from within the PA Wilds region encompassing Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, Lycoming, McKean, Potter, Tioga, Warren and northern Centre.
