PennDOT places life-size elk cutouts

October 25, 2013

Photo by Joseph Bell – Recently, PennDOT officials placed two life-size elk cutouts on the PennDOT property in Ridgway in order to show just how big these animals really are.

Traffic accidents involving elk pose a real danger to area residents. Although many think of the elk as an elusive animal, they frequent the roadways, particularly in autumn which is their breeding season.
