Patricia A. Larkin

Patricia A. Larkin, 78, of DuBois, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 28, 1932 in Emporium, daughter of the late Alfred and Veronica (Orsy) Mitcheltree. In 1949, she married Charles W. Larkin, who preceded her in death in 1974.
She was raised in Driftwood and lived in several local communities, including, Emporium, Johnsonburg, St. Marys, Ridgway and most recently DuBois. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her time with her family and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed having dinner out with her family.
 She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Gloria) Burdick of Ohio, Mrs. Clayton (Bonnie) Kunes of Treasure Lake and Mrs. Dan (Lori) Irwin of Curwensville; two sons, Charles P. and wife Linda Larkin of Brockway and James Larkin of Lock Haven; nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Wiggins and her partner, Dave Royer of Lancaster; and five brothers, Paul Mitcheltree of Emporium, Ted and wife Judy Mitcheltree of Erie, Bill and wife Kay Mitcheltree of Ridgway, John Mitcheltree of Florida and Denny and wife Marilyn Mitcheltree of Ridgway.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, David, Dana and Todd Larkin; and a brother, Alan Mitcheltree.
Funeral services for Patricia A. Larkin will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield with Pastor Dick Whitaker of the Treasure Lake Church officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Weedville.
Visitation will take place Thursday, Nov. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to Hahne Cancer or DuBois Nursing Home.
