Patricia L. "Pat" Jacobs

Patricia L. "Pat" Jacobs, 77, of 504 High St., Johnsonburg, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1935 in Kane, daughter of the late Lloyd and Bertha Fox Swedenjelm.
On Sept. 4, 1954 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Richard H. "Rich" Jacobs, and he survives.
She resided in Johnsonburg since 1969. She was a 1952 graduate of Kane High School. She was employed by Lyn-Clare Flower Shop in Johnsonburg for 10 years and Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Baltimore, Md. for two years.
Patricia volunteered at Holy Rosary Church and also was a volunteer at Holy Rosary School with the Religious Education Program. She was a member of the Cursillo Movement. She was a volunteer at the Elk County Christian High School cafeteria for many years and was a past Cub Scout Den Mother. She would like to be remembered as enjoying being a wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband at home, she is survived by two sons, Richard J. Jacobs and his wife Lore of Johnsonburg, and Thomas A. Jacobs and wife Kelle of Johnsonburg; grandchildren Steve Jacobs and his wife Stara, Jeffrey Jacobs and his wife Lisa, Catherine Jacobs and her fiance Mike Duttry, and Kara and Krista Jacobs; a step-granddaughter, Rebecca Williams and her friend Joseph Vacvarella; great-grandchildren Aislinn Jacobs; step-great-grandchildren Joey and Austin Vacvarella; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a stepfather, Robert Limerick; a brother, Lloyd "Bill" Swedenjelm Jr.; an infant sister, Karen Swedenjelm; and infant granddaughters Tara and Nikki Jacobs.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia L. "Pat" Jacobs at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, on Saturday July 7, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
