New charge filed against Bodien

August 21, 2012

JOHNSONBURG – An additional charge of theft by unlawful taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree, has been filed against a Ridgway woman already charged with embezzling insurance monies following a fire at her home.
The affidavit alleges that Nancy Jean Bodien, 36, of 45 Fremont Ave. in Ridgway, took into her possession a laptop computer belonging to the WDDH radio station following her resignation from the station on May 29, 2012.
According to the affidavit, police were contacted on June 26, 2012, with station personnel telling them that the laptop computer and microphone that had been in Bodien's possession had not been seen since her resignation.
Station personnel told police that during her tenure with the station, Bodien would often take the laptop computer home with the purpose of conducting remote broadcasts from her home.
When Bodien was contacted by police, she admitted to having the laptop but said she had not returned it to the station as she was under the impression it was a gift from the company's owner, Dennis Heindl.
