Municipal authority reaches settlement agreement

May 17, 2012

JOHNSONBURG – After months of negotiations the Johnsonburg Municipal Authority [JMA] unanimously approved a settlement agreement with G.M McCrossin during Tuesday night's regular meeting.
The amount of the settlement was undisclosed.
G.M. McCrossin was contracted by the JMA for work on the wastewater treatment plant.
Uni-Tec Engineer Dan Guss reported that Uni-Tec Engineers assisted the JMA and Meyer-Wagner at a meeting with G.M. McCrossin concerning final settlement issues.
"Assuming the board approves the negotiated settlement at this meeting, the project will then be closed with PennVest by submission of the final pay request."
Officials later approved the final payment request from PennVest which includes all PennVest payable project costs from July 24. These include: legal costs of $1,306.25; interest of $7,477.57; engineering, $77,025.39 and construction, $676,682.12.
