WILCOX – The Jones Township Municipal Authority will be increasing security at their reservoir along High Street after authority members voted unanimously to add two street lights to its perimeter.
According to chairman Carl Johnson, one of the street lights will cost the municipal authority $200 to install and then cost $12 to $16 a month for each light.
"I talked to the fellow at West Penn Power," Johnson said. "They said if you want an additional light on the next pole up about 50 to 75 feet there it would be about $200, but they can do it at a one-time cost."
Authority member Mike VonArx noted that they should ask the resident located along the reservoir if the additional lighting would be a problem.
"I think we should ask if she would like those lights in front of her house," VonArx said. "I doubt it will bother her but we should ask anyway."
