Municipal authority evaluates control system

The Ridgway Township Municipal Authority continued discussion over updating a four-year-old control system during Thursday night's regular meeting. The township's current SCADA [supervisory control and data acquisition] system, built and installed by Emerson Process in 2008, controls and monitors the tank levels and pump stations.Chairman Ed LaValle advised the board that a decision should be made no later than the December meeting to allow time for finance manager Jeff Schutz to factor it into the budget."We are going to have to make a decision on it soon to get it in the budget," LaValle said.
