The Ridgway Township Municipal Authority continued discussion over updating a four-year-old control system during Thursday night's regular meeting.
The township's current SCADA [supervisory control and data acquisition] system, built and installed by Emerson Process in 2008, controls and monitors the tank levels and pump stations.
Chairman Ed LaValle advised the board that a decision should be made no later than the December meeting to allow time for finance manager Jeff Schutz to factor it into the budget.
"We are going to have to make a decision on it soon to get it in the budget," LaValle said.
