JOHNSONBURG – The Johnsonburg Municipal Authority held a special meeting yesterday evening to accept a bid for a pressure-reducing vault to be installed along West Center Street.
Authority members approved a bid submitted by Continental Construction for $93,250 with expected completion to be reached in mid-August.
Two other bids were proposed for a pressure reducing vault in the amounts of $144,215 from Guyer Brothers and $125,000 from Roman Excavating.
The installation of a pressure reducing vault along West Center Street was one of the stipulations the Department of Environmental Protection [DEP] required the municipal authority to complete in order for them to increase the amount of water that they can sell to the Hunt Marcellus Operating Company.
