Michael Biel Sr.

Michael Biel Sr., age 82, of Millville, died on Sunday evening, March 11, 2012, a patient of Millville Health Center and under the care of Columbia Montour Home Hospice. Formerly of New Jersey and most recently Tobyhanna, he has resided in Columbia County since 2009.
Michael was born on Friday, March 29, 1929 in Wilcox, PA, a son of the late John and Anna Biel. Following his high school education, Michael served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as Military Police. Following the war, he became employed by Danelectro Guitar making custom guitars for many years. Prior to his retirement, he was most recently an employee of Precision Circuits, Inc.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Emma (Thorne) Biel; a daughter, Denise Bandy of Jackson, N.J.; two sons, Michael Biel Jr. and wife, Marilyn, of Tobyhanna and Daniel J. Biel of Johnsonburg; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; as well as five brothers, Walter, Leo, Any, Francis and Peter Biel.
At the request of the family, there will be no public services. Following private services, he will be laid to rest in General William Doyle Veteran Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J.
