Marlon E. Fields Sr.

Marlon E. Fields Sr., age 61, of Shawmut Road, Brockport, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at his residence.
He was born March 9, 1951, in Ridgway, son of the late Wayne A. and Betty Jane Stubbs Fields.
He was married to Joyce M. Gelnett, who preceded him in death on Jan. 29, 2002.
A Protestant by faith, Marlon was a member of the Horton Township Sportsmen's Club in Brockport. He enjoyed hunting and racing, and also enjoyed hanging out at Sheetz drinking coffee with his buddies. Marlon especially loved "Nuge," his dog which was his faithful companion and best friend.
He had been employed at Motion Control in Ridgway prior to his retirement. Afterwards, he went to work at the Goodwill Store in St. Marys as a maintenance man.
He is survived by two sons, Marlon "Fuzzy" (Melissa) Fields Jr. of Brockport, and Curt Fields, also of Brockport; two sisters, Cheri Bennett of Brandy Camp, and Waynette (Bill) Whitmeyer of Greenville; nine brothers, Gerald (Janine) Fields of Brandy Camp, Richard Fields of Brockport, Roger (Amy) Fields of DuBois, Darcy (Randi) Fields of Brockport, Carey (Joyce) Fields of Brockport, Brent (Debbie) Fields of Brockport, Darren (Lisa) Fields of Brockway, Steven Fields of Brockport, and Robin (Angie) Fields of Brockway; and 12 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Fields; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 3 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. with Rev. Daniel Osterhouse as officiating clergyman.
Place of burial will be Brandy Camp Cemetery
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, Pa. 15801 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
