Marko M. Bolitiski
Marko M. Bolitiski, 83, of 61 Railroad St., Daguscahonda, died Sunday morning, April 15, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.He was born Jan. 11, 1929 in Daguscahonda, a son of the late Joseph and Barbara Francis Bolitiski.On July 3, 1954 in Oakland, Maryland, he married Mary Ellen Jordan Bolitiski, who survives.Mr. Bolitiski was a member of St. Leo's Church in Ridgway. He was a lifelong resident of the area and served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after more than 54 years of service. He was a member of the Ridgway American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.In addition to his wife of more than 57 years, Mary Ellen Jordan Bolitiski, he is survived by two sons, Joseph Bolitiski and his wife Mary Jo of Ridgway, and Michael Bolitiski and his wife Kim of Ridgway; two daughters, Mary Ann, Mrs. Jay Mattiuz of Ridgway and Peggy, Mrs. Denny Caruso of Weedville; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary, Mrs. Clayton Gween of North Carolina; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Caroyln Bolitiski, who preceded him in death on April 15, 2008; two brothers, Joseph and Matt Bolitiski; and two sisters, Margaret Scaccia and Anna McClain. A Mass of Christian Burial for Marko M. Bolitiski will be celebrated at the St. Leo's Catholic Church, 111 Depot St., Ridgway, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., and the Rev. Brian Vosslar, pastor, as concelebrants. A military service will be conducted by the Ridgway Servicemen's Burial Detail. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.There will be no visitation.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo's Catholic Church, 111 Depot St., Ridgway, PA 15853.
