Man wielding knives comes after policeman

KANE – A man wielding two butcher knives came after a Kane borough police officer on foot Thursday evening in a neighborhood drama viewed by hundreds.
The man-- identified as Larry Walker of 231 Janeway St., Kane-- finally was stopped when he was shot by a Taser gun fired by Mt. Jewett Police Chief Steve Hale.
