Mae Jean (Wyant) Rishel, 85, of Shenango Presbyterian Sr. Care, New Wilmington, and formerly of New Bedford, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at Shenango Presbyterian Sr. Care in New Wilmington.
She was born March 7, 1929 in Punxsutawney, daughter of the late John Calvin Wyant and Sidney Myers.
She married Robert Clair Rishel on July 20, 1948, he died Sept. 25, 2012.
She was a homemaker, worked in retail regarding dry cleaning and drove a bus for Wilmington Area Schools. She was a member of New Bedford Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed baking and serving in the Ladies Auxiliary in the New Bedford Community.
She is survived by three daughters, Kelly Boyd (Michael) of New Wilmington, Janie Brier (Bob) of Atlanta, Ga. and Jeannie Allenbaugh (Richard) of Ridgway; one brother, Bob Wyant of Meadville; and four grandchildren, Mike Allenbaugh, Natalie Miller-Martini, Christine Geci and Jessica Wagner.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jane McFarland; and two brothers, Burton and Carl Wyant.
Services for Mae Jean (Wyant) Rishel will be held at Victory Christian Center, Victory Lane, New Wilmington on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Robert and Michele Cypher of Victory Christian Center, New Wilmington. Interment will be in Barton Chapel, Sprankle Mills, Jefferson County.
Visitation will be held at Victory Christian Center from 10 a.m. until the service starts at 11 a.m.
Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Benevolence Fund of Shenango Presbyterian Sr. Care, 238 S. Market St., New Wilmington, PA.
Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, PA.
