Lucille C. "Lucy" Deemer

Lucille C. "Lucy" Deemer, 78, of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 108 Irishtown Road, Kersey, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born May 2, 1924 in Johnsonburg, a daughter of the late Oran and Elizabeth Silvis Corbet. On March 24, 1944 in Brookville, she married the late Charles Lee Deemer Sr., who preceded her in death on October 17, 1976.
Mrs. Deemer was an active member of the Fox Township Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Weedville Wesleyan Church and the Wesleyan Women's Missionary Society. She enjoyed her activities at Pinecrest Manor and spending time with her family.
She is survived by eight children, Anna, Mrs. William Green of Kersey, Charles L. Deemer Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Sharpsville, Marsha, Mrs. Rodger Beck of Weedville, Michael Deemer of Kersey, Bruce Deemer of Bellefonte, Janet O’Brien of Farrell, Kelly, Mrs. Ronald Haynes of St. Marys, and Jerry Deemer and his wife Diane of Kersey; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; 14 foster grandchildren; 50 foster great-grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Hetrick of DuBois; and a brother, Paul Corbett of Arkansas.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Schwab and Rose Irwin.
A funeral service for Lucille C. "Lucy" Deemer will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 North Michael St., St. Marys, on Wednesday, June 8 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Luther Nelson, pastor of Weedville Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
