Louis J. DiIulio

Louis J. DiIulio, age 84, of Sixth Avenue, Johnsonburg, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center of St. Marys after a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 12, 1926 in Keystone, son of Armundo and Viola (Cherry) DiIulio, both deceased. He married Carrie (Beer), she predeceased him in 1990.
He attended Johnsonburg schools and served in the Army during World War II in Company B, 864th Engineer Aviation Battalion. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, WWII Victory Ribbon and Army Occupation Medal (Japan).
He retired from the Johnsonburg Paper Mill in 1988.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, enjoyed woodworking and lived all his life in Johnsonburg.
He is survived by one daughter, Sherry and her husband Greg Menniti of Proctorville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Adrienne and her husband Jeff Stallard, Scott Menniti and Tony Menniti; two brothers, Francis and his wife Pam DiIulio of Johnsonburg, and James and his wife Annie DiIulio. also of Johnsonburg; one sister-in-law, Delores DiIulio of Johnsonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife; one brother, John DiIulio; and two sisters, Virginia Thompson and Mary Cartwright.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg, and Friday, July 22, 2011 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg with Father David Wilson celebrant.
Military honors will be accorded by the Johnsonburg/Wilcox Servicemen’s Detail. Servicemen are asked to assemble at the Funeral Home, Friday at 9 a.m.
Interment will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
