Loren J. Liptak

Loren J. Liptak, 69, of 213 Garfield St., Ridgway died Wednesday morning at the V.A. Medical Center in Altoona. He was born June 14, 1942 in Ridgway, son of the late Joseph and Rosemary (Murnaghan) Liptak. He married Karin L. Perlick on November 17, 1972, she preceded him in death in 1977.
He had resided in Ridgway for the last 12 years and was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church, American Legion Post #208, a life member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Ridgway Elks. He was a 1960 graduate of the St. Leo High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and retired in 1980 after serving 20 years. He is survived by his daughter Lorianne J. Liptak of Germany; two aunts and one uncle, Ann Price of Brookhaven, Miss., and Mr. and Mrs. William Murnaghan of Ridgway; his mother-in-law Barbara P. Learnman of Harbor Beach, Mich.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Patrick M. Liptak.
Services for Loren J. Liptak will be held during the burial at sea ceremony.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial if desired can be made to the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
