Linda A. (Gordon) DeSalve

Linda A. (Gordon) DeSalve, 56, of DeSalve Road, Penfield, died at her home on Saturday, March 12, 2011.
She was born April 22, 1954 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late William and Margaretta (Gill) Gordon. On July 15, 1972 she married Lon A. DeSalve Sr., who survives.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, she lived in Ridgway from 1969 through 1972, and spent the remainder of her life in Penfield. She was a graduate of Ridgway High School, Class of 1972.
She was employed with Osram-Sylvania in St. Marys, in banking with Deposit Bank and National City of DuBois, and locally as a housekeeper and personal helper for seven years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, served as a Girl Scout leader for Juniors and Cadets, and also as a consultant and organizer for Girl Scouts. She also worked for several years with the St. Jude's Bike-A-Thon.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Dawn Keen of DuBois and Lon DeSalve Jr. of Monongahela; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Janice Rodriquez of Longmont, Colo., Nancy Greiner of Ridgway and Patricia Gnan of Mt. Jewett.
Funeral services for Linda A. (Gordon) DeSalve will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force, with Father Thomas Tyler celebrating.
Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield.
