Laurel Mill Golf Course in Ridgway hosted a 6-team golf match Thursday and Ridgway took home a 3-1 showing,
“Our girls continued their great play with a 3-1 record on the day,” said Ridgway head girls golf coach Gary Gerber II.
Ridgway seniors Brittanei Neubert and Selena Scarnati continue to be near the top of the leaderboard after spending the last week trading medalist honors.
Neubert paced the Lady Elkers with 49 but medalist honors went to Savannah Brosky of Brockway, who made it to the clubhouse with 46. Scarnati carded a 54 for the day.
“The girls played great,” Gerber said. “The three wins moved us into a tie with Brookvile for second in our league with a 4-3 record. “
Ridgway’s Sierra Kos came in with a 68 and Gerber said she “has been improving” in each outing.
“[Kos] has been improving with each match,” Gerber said. “She works hard trying to fit golf and volleyball into her schedule.”
Teammate Christine Schauer came in one shot behind Kos with a 69.
“[Schauer] continues to improve with many nice shots in the match,” Gerber said.
Sarah Szczotka rounded out the scoring with 86.
