Lady Elkers fall to Lady Cardinals

Ridgway girls basketball lost 48-2 to DuBois Central Catholic Tuesday night at Ridgway Area High School.
The Lady Elkers struggled offensively and got their only two points of the game in the fourth quarter with 4:27 remaining as Sierra Kos drained two free throws.
DCC junior Maria French opened the scoring with a free throw. Junior Kylee Schaffer scored the next seven points for the Lady Cardinals (1-2) to build the lead to 8-0. Aundrea Snyder would score two straight field goals to put the lead to 12-0 before Schaffer added a field goal for DuBois Central Catholic for a 14-0 lead after the first quarter.
