Kos shoots career-best score

September 20, 2011

Sierra Kos had a score of 62, her career-best score.

Ridgway girls golf lost 241-245 in action Monday afternoon.
Ridgway coach Gary Gerber II said he was impressed with the play of freshman Sierra Kos. Kos shot a career-best score of 62.
“The girls played well [Monday] especially Sierra with a career low of 62,” Gerber II said. “She continues to lower her scores each match. She has lowered her score over 15 strokes in such a short time. She works hard and improves daily.”
Selana Scarnati had the low score for Ridgway with a 56 and Brittanei Neubert finished with a 59.
“Brittanei struggled a bit [Monday] but we look for her to rebound quickly as we are right back at it against Dubois on Tuesday,” Gerber II said. “The other two scores were a 68 for Christine (Schauer) and an 87 for Sarah (Szczotka). They both continue to improve with many nice shots. Sarah has come a long way from last season.”
Ridgway is at DuBois for a 3 p.m. match today.
