'Known associate' of Francis Milliard charged with drug offenses

JOHNSONBURG - Agents with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Pittsburgh Group, along with members of the Pennsylvania State Police, executed a federal search warrant on Wednesday morning at the residence of a Johnsonburg man in connection with an investigation of Francis Anthony Milliard, currently incarcerated on arson, attempted murder, and other charges.
The ATF agents and PSP executed the warrant at the 112 East Ave., Johnsonburg, home of David A. Blashaw, 55, in a joint operation that was the result of leads arrived at through ongoing investigations into the activities of Milliard, 54, of Ridgway.
According to the affidavit of criminal complaint filed against Blashaw, law enforcement officers in the process of conducting the search warrant observed and seized a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the residence, including a small pair of pliers holding what appeared to be a "burnt marijuana roach," rolling papers, and an undisclosed amount of "loose green vegetable matter that smelled like marijuana."
