Kane wrestlers win dual meet at Johnsonburg, 45-21

Cole Myers looks to turn Justin Westerburg of Kane during action at 132 pounds. Myers won a 2-0 decision for the Rams Thursday night.

JOHNSONBURG – Kane wrestling won 45-21 in a dual meet at Johnsonburg Area High School Thursday night.
Seth Woolcock won the opening bout by forfeit at 113 pounds for the Wolves for a 6-0 lead. Cody Blankenship then had little trouble in the 120-pound match as he pinned Devin Mann of Johnsonburg in a time of 1:45 which upped the Kane lead to 12-0.
Jon Gelsick scored Kane's third bout in a row as he pinned Johnny Ferragine in a time of 1:05 in the 126-pound weight class.
