June E. Pearson

June E. Pearson, 86, of Johnsonburg, died at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, on Sunday evening, Jan. 6, 2013.
She was born Jan. 27, 1926 in Johnsonburg, a daughter of the late Axel and Alla Bowers Pearson.
June was a member of First Baptist Church of Johnsonburg, where she had served many years as Vice Moderator, Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent. June also served as President of the Anna B Class, and Women’s Missionary Society of the Allegheny River Association.
She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Airgood of Ridgway; a brother, Norman (Ann) Pearson of Fairborn, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, including nieces Barbara Moreau of Ridgway and Linda, Mrs. Norman Tillack of Johnsonburg; two nephews, Donald (Debra) Airgood of Ridgway and Sean (Melissa) Pearson of Westerville, Ohio; one great-nephew, Andrew Tillack; and two great-nieces, Bailey and Kylie Pearson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, E. Louise Myers and Alma Thompson; three brothers, Donald in infancy and Milton Pearson and Robert Penrod; and a
great-nephew, Herman Arthur Tillack.
Visitation for June E. Pearson will be at the Thompson Funeral Home, 136 Center St., Ridgway, on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 from 5-7 p.m., followed by the funeral at 7 p.m. with Mr. Robert Johnson, Lay Minister, First Baptist Church in Johnsonburg, officiating. Burial will be in the Wilcox Cemetery, Wilcox.
