Judith Ann Rhines Nagel

Judith Ann Rhines Nagel, 75, of Hickory Street, Johnsonburg, died on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness. She had recently been living with her daughter-in-law, Susan L. Rhines, in St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 16, 1936 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Roland Akers and Idabelle (Lynch) Akers–Willow.
She married Francis H. Rhines Jr. in 1955. He died in 1984. She married her second husband, Gerald C. Nagel, in 1992. He died in 2011.
She was a lifelong resident of Johnsonburg and worked at Stackpole Carbon of Johnsonburg and St. Marys for many years and the Central Hose Company of Johnsonburg.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, past officer of the Women of the Moose and enjoyed bowling.
She is survived by three children, David Rhines of Ridgway, Mark Rhines of Wilcox and Susan and her husband Edward Potts of Ridgway; five grandchildren Jason, Eric and Tiffany Nelson, Mark Rhines Jr., and Dakota Potts; four great-grandchildren, Damien Nelson, Eli Potts, Emily Rhines and Gracelyn Potts; and three brothers, Roland “Gig” Akers of Johnsonburg, Gary Akers and his wife Connie of Johnsonburg, and James Willow of Honesdale.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a son, Roland Rhines; two brothers, Richard J. Akers and Robert G. Willow; and two sisters, Norma Peters and Constance “Connie” Akers.
Visitation for Judith Ann Rhines Nagel will take place Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Stephen Fair officiating, at the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg. Interment will take place at Lake City Cemetery.
